A-Class QR-Trophy

The only real use of QR-codes, ever.

During the prelaunch phase for the new A-class we startet an extraordinary promotion. Standard prototypes are camouflaged with random black and white patterns to hide the new and unreleased look and several features. We did just the same thing, but this time with QR-Codes.
These Codes are linked to a landing page which tease the promotion and the corresponding contest. The prize: A Journey to the unveiling of the all new A-Class in Geneva, Switzerland.
To enter into the contest, people will have to download the “A-Class QR-Trophy” app from the Apple App Store or Android Market. Once installed, users can collect ‘badges’ by scanning QR codes from prototypes, Facebook, Twitter print and online press. Four different badges will be available and each of them will give you an entry into the contest.
